At RSK, we believe that professional accreditation does indeed matter and we are proud to say that we have 97 chartered professionals and 12 Specialists in Land Condition (SiLC). In the UK, legislation and guidance such as the National Planning Policy Framework and the National Quality Mark Scheme require staff who undertake work to be competent. Professional accreditation is one way that we can demonstrate this.

RSK senior geo-environmental engineer Roseanna Bloxham won Best Woman Consultant at the 2017 European Women in Construction and Engineering awards. With the rather bleak outlook on the number of students studying “-ist” subjects, encouraging grassroots interest in science-based careers must fall to those who are already succeeding in these fields. Although RSK has not quite reached the forest floor, we are working at canopy level to inspire bright, enthusiastic graduates to join our industry.
